Keeping Spirit Alive

When student athletes and coaches suddenly saw their sports season shelved, the Montana Fellowship of Christian Athletes upped their game. The organization is keeping spirit alive through their FCA Virtual website, connecting with 900 coaches and thousands of athletes across Montana.

  • Weekly Huddle Up programs feature NFL players, PGA pros, and others, and Montana Virtual Huddles bring together players and coaches from Great Falls to Glendive and Butte to Belgrade.
  • A recent Chalk Talk program with former pastor Eric Hutch (who now heads Billings faith-based nonprofit, Communio) explains how to deal with the grief of losing a season.
  • Two-Minute Drills presented by coaches and young athletes provide devotional inspiration.

Montana FCA‘s State Director Bob Veroulis notes, “It’s especially hard for seniors who have no prom, no championship game, no year-end banquet. We’re constantly putting messages out, to provide strategies to coaches and help kids manage the challenges.”
